Pie Chart
A type of graph in which a circle is divided into sectors that each represent a proportion of the whole.


Line chart
Created by plotting a series of several points and connecting them with straight lines.


Bar chart
A diagram in which the numerical values of variables are represented by the height (or length) of lines (or rectangles) of equal width.


Pictogram
A chart or graph that uses icons or images to represent data.


Dot plot
A simple form of data visualization that consists of data points plotted as dots on a graph with an X and Y axis.


Histogram
A diagram consisting of rectangles whose height is proportional to the frequency of a variable and whose width is equal to the class interval (for example, per hour, per day, or per year).
