The Psyche Mission Might Help Us Study Large Planets

Psyche

NASA’s latest space mission will research an asteroid that might be a big chunk of iron and nickel moving around in space. The Psyche mission is the first to study an “M-type” asteroid, which is more dense and reflective than the usual rocky asteroids. The asteroid named Psyche might possibly be the core of a larger planet that grew too large and collapsed into itself.
